Kate and Cody loved the idea of having their engagement pictures taken in Spring when the Lilacs were in bloom.  The Lilac Festival has personal meaning to them, but they weren't sure about doing the shoot with all the festival goers.  It turns out the perfect solution  was an early Saturday morning walk through the park.
